Welcome to Methods of Teaching Secondary History.  I have attached needed documents for this lab and will be sharing documents to you via email.

I will assess a grade on the following:

  1. Google Doc Reflective Journal covering your thoughts and experiences (share with me upon creation)

  2. Your Observation Time Log: Did you observe and participate in 80-100 hours of practicum observation

  3. I will look over and assess a grade based on your completion of the Clinical Case File in your Practicum Handbook

  4. I will observe you teaching 1 time during this methods course and we will post-conference--you will submit a written reflection of the lesson and post-conference.

    1. You will need to share with me your lesson plan prior to observation--this will be part of your grade and you will use a lesson plan template that I will share with you.

  5. The assessment given by your cooperating teacher on the MNU Disposition Tool will also impact whether you pass your practicum.  An MNU student cannot receive more than two “1” assessments.  If your cooperating teacher gives you more than two “1” assessment scores on the rubric, you will have to redo the practicum.
